Scope and Contents Note This collection contains one photograph showing a mother and her two children standing on the steps in front of the John D. Pierce School in the Kaye Hall Complex at Northern Michigan University in 1963 or 1964. The individuals are, from back to front, Earl E. Gaball, Jr. (then a junior), Susan Gaball Nadeau Dunn (freshman), Nell Giotto Gaball (freshman). Earl graduated with a B.S. degree from NMU in 1965 and went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Michigan. ...

Scope and Contents Note

This collection consists of memorabilia of Luther Gant's career at Northern Michigan College (now Northern Michigan University) in Marquette, Michigan. The collection is scattered and incomplete. Materials include numerous photographs of Kaye Hall, particularly during winter, and photographs of Luther Gant's retirement celebration. The collection also includes honorary degrees and correspondence from noted Michigan educators. Materials date between 1930 and 1961.

Scope and Contents Note

This collection contains several images of students in groups outdoors at Northern State Normal School (now Northern Michigan University) in Marquette, Michigan. The students are engaged in various activities. Of particular note are images of Kaye Hall, the original Longyear Dormitory, and the Marquette Branch state prison. The photographs date from 1905 to 1910.
