Scope and Contents note This collection contains 24 audiocassettes and selected transcripts of interviews with eight former underground iron miners, as conducted by Mary Tippett Andes in 1994. The miners interviewed are Glenn Bjork, Louis La Jeunesse, William Lucas, Ralph Maki, Lowell K. Smail, and Dewey B. Tippett. Two miners' wives, Kaarina Lucas and Dawne Tippett Smail, were also interviewed. ABOUT THIS COLLECTION GUIDE

This collection guide includes collections from member organizations of UPLINK (the Upper Peninsula Digital Network) as well as the Central Upper Peninsula and Northern Michigan University Archives.
