The Cleveland-Cliffs Iron Mining Company Records consist of business records and maps from the Cleveland-Cliffs Iron Mining Company and its subsidiary mines and operations.
This collection consists primarily of memorabilia and correspondence from Henry Jacobson from 1932-1984. Other notable items include photographs and a scrapbook. This collection may be of interest to those researching employees of the Cleveland Cliffs Iron Mining Company or Bethany Lutheran Church in Ishpeming.
This collection contains records that document the general operations of the Mather Inn in Ishpeming, Michigan. Records include time cards and employee payroll, general correspondence, correspondence related to construction, establishment of the Inn, and documents regarding the Inn's eventual sale. Records also include tax and lease information and correspondence of William Mather and William Manning (architect). The materials date from 1923 to 1986.
This collection consists of business correspondence of the Winthrop Iron Company. This correspondence is in the form of letters and Western Union telegraphs. The materials cover the time span of August 1899 to October 22, 1901, the time period covering the take over of Winthrop Mine by National Steel. Correspondents are: Winthrop Iron Company, Oliver Iron Mining Company, I. B. Davis and Son, Manufacturers, Chapin Mining Company, M. A. Hanna and Company, and F. Braastad and Company.
