Theresa Whitens and Mary Ann Campbell discuss their parents, Angelo and Mary Arduin, as well as their own childhoods in Hermansville, Michigan. Topics include where their parents came from in Italy, why they came to America, their marriage, logging, boarding houses, their relatives, social life, religious practices, school, speaking in Italian, company houses, and becoming citizens. They also discuss cultural practices such as traditional food, Christmas traditions, making clothing and wine, gender roles, and jewelry.
