Anelio Turbessi Interview (Part of the Italian American Oral History Project)
Anelio Turbessi discusses why his family left Italy and came to Iron Mountain, how they came to the United States, mining, how many kids most families had, gardening, livestock, the Depression, wine making, other Italian families in the community, holidays and saints' days, traditional food, and the Paisano Club. The sound echoes badly and is at times muffled, but Turbessi can be understood.
