Summary

This document is a transcript of an interview with Gordon Hervala. We do not have the audio version. Topics include his family background in Sweden, Finland, and Norway, when his family came to the Keweenaw Peninsula, Ford Motor Company, a strike (the 1913 strike?), farming, school, growing up in both Calumet and Detroit, skiing, how he met his wife, the Depression, religion, and World War II.
