Scope and Contents Note
This collection contains end of fiscal year reports and audit reports by the different units and departments for the City of Marquette, Michigan. Of interest to the researcher is information provided on early businesses, individuals, and organizations with which the City did business and/or contributed to/supported, such as schools, the public library, and Departmental Reports. The collection's materials range in date from 1899 to 1962.

Historical note
The City of Marquette, located on the shore of Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, was founded in 1849 as a mining town. The city is now the largest populated city in the Upper Peninsula.
