Scope and Contents note
This collection documents the professional and academic career of Elmer Moisio, retired professor of Nursing at Northern Michigan University (NMU). It also provides significant documentation of the historical development of the School of Nursing. The collection contains speeches, professional and student research papers, School of Nursing accreditation material, videos, photographs, and general correspondence from 1966 to 1999.

Biographical note
Elmer W. Moisio served as professor of nursing at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan from 1966 until 2000, including serving as head of the Dept. of Nursing (now School of Nursing) from 1989 until 2000.
