Gene D. L. Jones papers
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of the service files of Northern Michigan University history professor Gene D. L. Jones. It contains the records (1968-1979) of the Upper Great Lakes Teacher Education Council, the 1984 report of the Task Force on Liberal Education Requirements, and the constitution and minutes (1970) of the Upper Peninsula Regional Council for the Social Sciences. Also in the collection are syllabi for Jones's courses, some of his research notes, and documentation of the Robert F. McClellan controversy, including memos, position papers, and summaries.
