4Reels Club records
This collection consists of two folders. One is photographs of the club members and their activities. The other is a manual containing a history of the club and summaries of their activities. It documents the activities of Digital Cinema majors and those interested in film at Northern Michigan University in the 2010s.
1910 Upper Peninsula Census-Research records
This collection contains material related to the research done by Dr. Magnaghi on the 1910 census. There are note cards with data for each county in the Upper Peninsula as well as notebooks with data on each county. There are three binders located in the reading room with information on each county as well.

Ansel Adams oral history interview
Dennis Staffne and Diane Kordich, of the Department of Art and Design at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan, conducted this interview with renowned landscape photographer Ansel Adams in 1981. Questions deal with Adams' methodology as a photographer. The collection's materials include a list of questions asked and copies of the interview on cassette and CD-R.
Adams Township Justice of the Peace records
The collection consists of a single volume of judicial records created by Thomas H. Terrill, a Justice of the Peace in Adams Township, Michigan, between 1876 and 1881. The journal records summons, testimonies, and judgements.

Del Alpino Club records
This collection is comprised of a membership roll and dues book for the Del Alpino Club in Calumet, Michigan. The materials are entirely in Italian and date from 1911 to 1922.
Amnesty International, NMU Chapter records
This collection consists of correspondence, meeting minutes, program and speaker flyers, news clippings, and miscellaneous materials of the Northern Michigan University chapter of Amnesty International, an international human rights organization primarily concerned with freeing political prisoners through letter writing campaigns. The collection also contains correspondence, news clippings, notes, and petitions relating to the release of John Pierce, an NMU student jailed in Peru in 1981.
Lloyd Anderson papers
This collection contains correspondence between Anderson and John D. Voelker concerning fly fishing. Voelker frequently requested tied flies from Anderson and often discussed their effectiveness in his trout fishing.
Arvon Township photographs
This collection contains a variety of photographs from Arvon Township in Baraga County, Michigan. Prominent topics in the photos include logging, farming, and the Iron Range and Huron Bay Railroad. Most photos date from the 1970s to the 1920s with one photograph from 1971.
Atlantic Mining Company records
The collection consists of five invoices sent to the Atlantic Mining Company in 1879 and 1889 for food and candles purchased by the company.
Au Train Regional Documents Collection
This collection consists of documents relating to the hydroelectric project in Au Train, its possible environmental impact on the area, and the fishery in the Au Train area. A large portion of the collection relates to public concern over a proposed Shoreline Management Plan created by the Upper Peninsula Power Company in 2007.
Aurora newsletter records
This collection features a newsletter focused on providing items of interest regarding and a vehicle for reaching out to lesbians and gays in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Materials consist both of local news items and news digests taken from a variety of national newspapers and magazines. The newsletter is published in Marquette, Michigan by Francine Malindzak and Mary Denilauler.
Judith Bailey papers
This collection is composed of the papers of Judith Bailey, who was the president of Northern Michigan University from 1998 to 2003. Her papers are primarily centered around her hiring and include related articles, press releases, and correspondence, dating from 1997 to 2003. Other materials include statistics about NMU enrollment, costs and productivity during her time as president.

Bay Mills Community College Library Native American Artifacts photographs
This collection consists of photographs of Native American artifacts from the Great Lakes region. Although the photographs were taken in the early 2000s, the artifacts themselves date from approximately the 1830s to the 1960s. They were created by a number of tribes in the Great Lakes region, including the Ojibwe, Winnebago, Iroquois, and Potawatomi.

Bernice M. Bal scrapbook
This scrapbook created by Bernice M. Bal was donated to the Archives by NMU Professor Russell Magnaghi. It documents her time spent at Northern State Teachers College. The scrapbook includes class schedules, news articles on events on campus and in the community, programs, miscellaneous articles, letters/invitations, and graduating class roster listings.

Bietila Brothers photographs
This collection contains photographs from of Walter Bietila and his brothers Ralph and Paul. The pictures chronicle the family's success in the sport of ski jumping. The photographs are dated between 1936 and 1942.
Bookbinders Cafe photographs
This collection is composed of ten photo albums filled with photographs of students and staff of Bookbinders Cafe, located in the basement of the Harden Learning Resources Center. The photographs were taken between 1980 and 1993. The collection also includes news clippings, awards, letters, cards, and a biography of Maggie Britton, the cafe manager.

This collection contains extensive home movies documenting the activities of the Bourgeois family in and around Marquette, Michigan and the Upper Peninsula from 1920 to 1969. Footage includes scenes on the Northern Michigan University campus in Marquette. The collection includes VHS production originals and user duplicate copies.

This collection guide includes collections from member organizations of UPLINK (the Upper Peninsula Digital Network) as well as the Central Upper Peninsula and Northern Michigan University Archives. UPLINK collections document the history of the Upper Peninsula broadly, while the Central UP & NMU Archives focuses on such topics as Northern Michigan University history, the local iron mining industry, and the politics, economics, religion, environment, and culture of the Central Upper Peninsula region.
