Scope and Contents Note This collection consists of items formerly part of a retirement scrapbook given to Ruth Craig on her retirement from Northern Michigan University in 1963. The collection consists of photographs of campus scenes, student activities, former students, faculty and staff, and images from the retirement dinner. The collection also consists of numerous letters of tribute written to Craig from staff and former students. All materials are dated 1963.

Scope and Contents This collection consists of a cloth-bound field journal and a bound scrapbook. The field journal is embossed with the title: “Simmons Wood, Biological Survey; By John W. Lowe. June 20, 1930.” The field journal contains a research journal documenting the field work done at Simmons Wood, located in Western Mackinac County in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Scope and Contents Note This collection represents a partial documentation of the personal and professional life of Dr. Sylvia Kinnunen, who spent the majority of her career as a professor in the Department of Education at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan. The collection includes a scattering of personal photographs, correspondence, and teaching materials. The collection's materials range in date from 1920 to 2005.
Scope and Contents Note This collection documents some of the highlights of Forest Robert's career at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan. Topics include the Lydia Olson Library dedication (1950), forensics and debate team program, U.P. Debate League, 1966 speech for a history marker dedication, and a teacher tenure issue. Records include newspaper clippings, Alumni News, programs, photographs, brochure of college songs (1949), correspondence. The collection's materials date from 1917 to 1997.

Scope and Contents Note This collection consists of photographs of Rollie Thoren and his friends and family members in and around the Marquette, Michigan area. Also included in the collection are two different color photocopies of Thoren's "Poem of the Day" creations, which combine photographs and text. Some of the photographs have handwritten labels on the back. Some images appear to be of the J.D. Pierce School at the Northern State Teachers' College. The materials are all dated 1935.
