Northern Michigan University Football Team photographs
This collection of the Northern Michigan University Football Team photographs consist of team photographs and miscellaneous team member photographs from 1951 to 1954. Some of the individuals included in the photographs are Bob St. Martin, Sam Bogarin, Louis Myefski, Paul Gingrass, Ed Kuivinch, John Beaumier, Adrian Anglim, Bob Monck, Ted Fellman, and assistant coach Morgan Gingrass.
Northern Michigan University Women records
This collection includes constitutions, agendas, correspondence, membership lists and directories, minutes, newsletters, and financial materials including treasurers reports.
Northern State Normal School photographs
This collection contains several images of students in groups outdoors at Northern State Normal School (now Northern Michigan University) in Marquette, Michigan. The students are engaged in various activities. Of particular note are images of Kaye Hall, the original Longyear Dormitory, and the Marquette Branch state prison. The photographs date from 1905 to 1910.

Jennie Eline Olson diary
One Book, One Community scrapbook
The "One Book, One Community" scrapbook from 2006 was created by Phyllis Wong and was transferred to the Central Upper Peninsula and Northern Michigan University Archives by Dan Truckey. The scrapbook contains newspaper clippings, photographs, correspondence, flyers, and press releases.
Onota Township Government records
The collection consists mainly of ledgers. There are minutes from township board meetings, treasurers' reports, voter registration ledgers, assessment rolls, and a 1938 property inventory.
Ontonagon County Poor House records
Ontonagon Lighthouse records
This collections consists of seven ledgers created by the Ontonagon Lighthouse keeper. They record supplies at the lighthouse, the amount of oil used each day, how long the lighthouse was lit, and the daily weather conditions. A 1937 blueprint titled "Ontonagon, Michigan Maitenance Soundings in Channel and Lake Approach" was tucked into the front cover of one of the ledgers.
Ontonagon plat maps
This collection consists of a single ledger that contains plat maps for Ontonagon County. Plat maps record who owned each plot of land, and they are also semi-detailed maps of geographic features such as rivers, lakes, and railroads.
Oral histories of underground iron miners
Oral histories on September 11, 2001
This collection contains oral histories of student recollections of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The project was a class assignment for Dr. Frank Van Nuys' HS 200: Historical Reading and Writing class taught at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan. Students conducted the interviews during March 2002.
Tyyne Ostlund papers
This is a small collection consisting of the papers of Tyyne Ostlund, a graduate of Northern Michigan University. The materials consist of notebooks, sketches, papers, and correspondence, mostly focusing on topics of architecture and art.

Peace newspaper issue
This collection contains one issue of the Peace newspaper published in 1969. This particular issue deals almost entirely with subjects of racism and African American students on campus. A major topic is the elimination of the Job Corps program on Northern Michigan University's campus.

Lewis Peters papers
The collection includes scattered minutes of the Biology Department; correspondence largely relating to Peters' research on the fish tapeworm, Diphyllobothrium latum; materials regarding attempts to establish an Institute for Indian Education at Northern; materials of and relating to Luther West, a former Biology faculty member at Northern best known for his research on the housefly; and a publication written by Peters on preveterinary curricular opportunities at Northern.

Pride Rock records
This collection documents the formation of Pride Rock, a LGBTQ+ priority house within NMU’s residence halls. The collection includes a FAQ, a Safety Plan for Pride Rock, a survey response of other universities with similar programs, three North Wind editorials, and the complete project proposal.
Rudi Prusok papers
This collection documents Dr. Rudi Prusok's professional career at Northern Michigan University. The bulk of the collection covers the 1980s and includes professional and personal correspondence, flyers, brochures, records of the Foreign Language Teachers Conference, course syllabi, faculty evaluation (1994), a copy of an article Prusok wrote about Thomas Mann, and a sabbatical leave proposal. Some of the personal correspondence discusses scheutzen rifles.
Pythian Sisters of Ishpeming records
This collection contains a minute book with records from 1960-1968 of the Ishpeming chapter of the Pythian Sisters, Cloveland Temple No. 106, a women's service organization, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The collection also includes a meeting attendance record for 1963-1964.
