Nora Silk Diary
This collection consists of a single diary that Nora Silk kept from 1941 to 1944, with the bulk of the entries being from 1941. She briefly records the events of each day. The diary also contains a few locks of hair.
Norman M. Fabry papers
This collection documents Norman M. Fabry's military experience in World War II. Fabry was a Sherman tank commander (sgt). The collection consists of several letters and photographs.

Some of the individuals included in the photographs are Bob St. Martin, Sam Bogarin, Louis Myefski, Paul Gingrass, Ed Kuivinch, John Beaumier, Adrian Anglim, Bob Monck, Ted Fellman, and assistant coach Morgan Gingrass.

This collection consists of ten oral history video recordings and ten transcripts of those interviews.

Northern State Normal School photographs
This collection contains several images of students in groups outdoors at Northern State Normal School (now Northern Michigan University) in Marquette, Michigan. The students are engaged in various activities. Of particular note are images of Kaye Hall, the original Longyear Dormitory, and the Marquette Branch state prison. The photographs date from 1905 to 1910.

One Book, One Community scrapbook
The "One Book, One Community" scrapbook from 2006 was created by Phyllis Wong and was transferred to the Central Upper Peninsula and Northern Michigan University Archives by Dan Truckey. The scrapbook contains newspaper clippings, photographs, correspondence, flyers, and press releases.
Onota Township Government records
The collection consists mainly of ledgers. There are minutes from township board meetings, treasurers' reports, voter registration ledgers, assessment rolls, and a 1938 property inventory.
Ontonagon Area maps
This is an artificial collection of maps held by the Ontonagon County Historical Society.
Ontonagon County Individual Items
A catch-all artificial collection for individual items held by the Ontonagon County Historical Society that are not part of a larger collection. The collection includes posters and programs for events in Ontonagon, calendars, advertisements from local businesses, and tourism brochures.
Ontonagon County Newspaper collection
An artificial collection of 39 issues from various newspapers in Ontonagon County, Houghton County, Baraga County, and Marquette County held by the Ontonagon County Historical Society. They range from 1871 to approximately 1995.

Ontonagon High School Band and Choir records
This collection consists of audio recordings and programs from concerts given by the Ontonagon (Area) High School senior and junior bands and choir from 1966 to 1981. There is also one recording of the Ontonagon High School alumni band.

This collection consists of two yearbooks and one commencement program from Ontonagon High School.
Ontonagon Lighthouse records
This collections consists of ledgers created by the Ontonagon Lighthouse keeper from 1871 to 1916. Most of the ledgers record supplies at the lighthouse, the amount of oil used each day, how long the lighthouse was lit, and the daily weather conditions. A 1937 blueprint titled "Ontonagon, Michigan Maitenance Soundings in Channel and Lake Approach" was tucked into the front cover of one of the ledgers. One ledger documents shipwrecks near the lighthouse.
Ontonagon Patent Ledgers
This collection consists of three indices that list the names of people who applied for patent applications. It is unclear what years the ledgers cover or what geographic region. They are simply labelled A, B, and C.
Ontonagon plat maps
This collection consists of a single ledger that contains plat maps for Ontonagon County. Plat maps record who owned each plot of land, and they are also semi-detailed maps of geographic features such as rivers, lakes, and railroads.

ABOUT THIS COLLECTION GUIDE
This collection guide includes collections from member organizations of UPLINK (the Upper Peninsula Digital Network) as well as the Central Upper Peninsula and Northern Michigan University Archives. UPLINK collections document the history of the Upper Peninsula broadly, while the Central UP & NMU Archives focuses on such topics as Northern Michigan University history, the local iron mining industry, and the politics, economics, religion, environment, and culture of the Central Upper Peninsula region.
These finding aids will give you an overview of the contents and context of each collection. Finding aids only exist for collections that each organization has shared with UPLINK or (in the case of the NMU Archives) for processed collections.
