Scope and Contents

This collection focuses on the rebuilding of Silver Lake Dam after its failure in 2003. It contains relatively little about the failure itself. (See the Dead River Regional Documents Collection for more on the dam failure.) It documents concerns about the engineering of the rebuilt dam as well as concerns about the environmental and wildlife impact of the dam.

ABOUT THIS COLLECTION GUIDE

This collection guide includes collections from member organizations of UPLINK (the Upper Peninsula Digital Network) as well as the Central Upper Peninsula and Northern Michigan University Archives.
