This collection contains memorabilia of Nancy Russo's school days at Northern State Teachers College (now Northern Michigan University) from 1936 to 1939. The collection contains programs for the Men's and Women's Glee Clubs, Student Girls League Programs, a senior booklet for 1939, and a wallet size photograph of Pete Ellis.

The contents relate to Josephine Hurst Schils' years as a student at John D. Pierce School and at at Northern Michigan College of Education. Materials include programs, publications, photographs, and newspaper clippings from 1948 to 1998.

Theta Omicron Rho photographs
This collection documents social activities and includes an image of the entire membership of the Theta Omicron Rho fraternity in Marquette, Michigan, of which Ellwood Mattson was a member. Other images include the house stairwell and foyer prior to a dinner dance, a dress-up social party, and a dinner party. The photographs date from 1949 to 1950.
Theta Omicron Rho records
This small collection of records from the Theta Omicron Rho Fraternity was donated by Dennis Cieslinski, who tried to reorganize the fraternity. It contains a photograph of the Theta Omicron Rho house in 1978 as well as a copy of the rules and regulations of the house from 1927-1928.
Rollie Thoren photographs
This collection consists of photographs of Rollie Thoren and his friends and family members in and around the Marquette, Michigan area. Also included in the collection are two different color photocopies of Thoren's "Poem of the Day" creations, which combine photographs and text. Some of the photographs have handwritten labels on the back. Some images appear to be of the J.D. Pierce School at the Northern State Teachers' College. The materials are all dated 1935.

This collection consists of black and white photographs in various sizes from 1946. The photographs document groups (including the United Steelworkers of America Local 4950), individuals, organizing activities, publicity events, negotiating sessions, picket lines, and parades that occurred during the Iron Workers' Strike of 1946 in Ishpeming and Negaunee, Michigan.

This collection consists of Northern Michigan University memorabilia. Items include photographs of homecoming (1949), basketball and football teams, and the Tri Mu Fraternity; a homecoming program for 1948, a commencement program from 1981, copies of Horizons, and a personal scrapbook. The materials date from 1948 to 1993.
Harold Wiitala photographs
This collection contains photographs of families in "Vetville," the common name for married student housing at Northern Michigan University, preparing to move or for graduation, including images of the students' children. The collection also contains photographs of a Rod and Gun Club outing and of fans and concession stands at Memorial Field (located where the Berry Events Center now stands) during an NMU football game. The photographs were taken by Harold Wiitala between 1952 and 1955.

This collection guide includes collections from member organizations of UPLINK (the Upper Peninsula Digital Network) as well as the Central Upper Peninsula and Northern Michigan University Archives. UPLINK collections document the history of the Upper Peninsula broadly, while the Central UP & NMU Archives focuses on such topics as Northern Michigan University history, the local iron mining industry, and the politics, economics, religion, environment, and culture of the Central Upper Peninsula region.
