This collection contains photographs of the Rouse Simmons and the family of its captain, newspaper clippings and a list of resources about the shipwreck, and documentation of the modern memory of the shipwreck, including poetry, photo albums of modern commemorations of the event, and a scrapbook of a musical about the event put on by Gwinn High School.
The collection has almost the full run of the newspaper from August 30, 1994 to August 15, 2013. It is missing the first March 2007 issue, the second March 2009 issue, the second June 2012 issue, the first November 2012 issue, and the second December 2012 issue.
